Did you know that dance is considered a leading preventer of Alzheimer's & Dementia?

FACULTY

Alexa has been a dance educator for over a decade, advocating for "smart" dance training. She graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts 2014 with a B.F.A. in Dance and received the University Dance Works Scholarship & Dance Express Choreography Award. Alexa is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialties & is certified in Relative Motion, Progressing Ballet Technique, Progressing Contemporary Technique & T Spheres Techniques. Her students have gone on to perform in the National Tour of Matilda and attend Boston Conservatory, UArts, Mason Gross School of the Arts, Montclair State, Alvin Ailey and more! Alexa has worked with Larry Keigwin, Brian Brooks, Julia Ritter, Ginger Thatcher, Pamela Levy, Stefanie Battan Bland, & Sidra Bella & performed at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington D.C.). As a member of Zella Dance Company, Alexa performed across the United States & she toured internationally with the production Uma Saudação à Whitney Houston. In 2017 Alexa founded Lambarri Dance Arts, in memory of her grandmother Nilda Lambarri who passed from Dementia, to provide a space for young dancers to grow as artists while developing their technique incorporating functional methods to train in "smart" and more efficient ways.

ALEXA

Kevin Zambrano has most recently choreographed and performed alongside hyperpop sensation Dorian Electra on their My Agenda UK and US tour. He is based in NYC where he performed as “Moose'' in the Broadway revival of West Side Story by Ivo Van Hove & choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Kevin has worked with artists such The Weeknd, Post Malone, Swedish House Mafia, Charli XCX and Solange Knowles. Kevin is a Burbank native and BFA graduate from CalArts where Kevin choreographed and directed three full-length works, one of which earning him the CalArts’ Interdisciplinary Grant Award. Kevin’s choreographic work has been presented and awarded internationally in Seoul, Amsterdam, Cannes and the Troubadour in Hollywood. In Los Angeles he has worked with multiple dance companies including: Gerard and Kelly, WeWolf, No(one) Arthouse, TL Collective, BeMoving and Rosanna Gamson World/Wide. He is also the creative director of a dance residency program entitled Ghost Light Residency. 

KEVIN

Emily grew up in Freehold, NJ and attended Howell High School’s Performing Arts Center. She currently holds a B.A. in Dance Education with K-12 certification from Montclair State University. Upon graduation Emily is teaching dance within the Lakewood Public School District. She has trained with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Point Park University and University of the Arts. Emily danced under Christian von Howard, Stephanie Batten-Bland, Mark Harootian, Earl Mosley, Larry Kegwin, Jessie DiMauro Marks and Grace Buckley. She has performed in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also teaches and choreographs for children of various ages in dance studios across NJ.

EMILY

Tara graduted Summa Cum Laude from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College as the Presidential Award Winner for Achievement in Dance. she performed works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Norbert De La Cruz III, Andrea Schermoly, Brian Enos, Michelle Thompson Ullerich, & Stuart Loungway. She has trained with BalletX, Paul Taylor, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, & North West Dance Project, & attended Springboard Danse Montreal. Past performance credits: BodyTraffic & Satellite Collective. She is CURRENTLY with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, Hudson Ballet Theater, & IS a founding dancer for Wyckoff Collective.

TARA

Alex trained at New Jersey Ballet and was a member of the New Jersey Tap ensemble under Deborah Mitchell. She has performed with the New York Liberty “Lil Torches” & the Knicks City Dancers as a Knicks City Kid at Madison Square Garden. She is best known for her leap and turn training methods which have become well known not only in the competitive dance world but with gymnasts and ice dancers as well. She is currently on staff with Imagine Dance Challenge. 

ALEX

Catie graduated, with honors & her BFA in Dance from UArts--awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence & the “Sustainability” award. She has taught in NYC at Gibney Dance, Bridge for Dance, Peridance & Capezio Center, MG+Artist Workshops, FAILSPACE, and Z Artists Group.  Her work has been showcased at STUDIO4, Gibney, Movement Research at Judson Church, Dixon Place, Center for Performance Research, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Salt Dance Fest, The Craft and Triskelion Arts, among others.  Most recently, she was commissioned for a new work at the Joffrey Ballet School, working weekly with their Jazz and Contemporary Trainee / BFA students. An NYCDA Boston’s Competition Senior Critic’s Choice Award Choreographer, her pieces have been recognized at ADA, Legacy, Starquest, Starpower, Dance Xplosion, and Headliners Nationals, among others. Catie was awarded the 2020 Masterworks Foundation Choreographic Award.

CATIE

Melanie is a graduate oF Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University) 2016 with a B.F.A. in Dance Cum Laude and was a recipient of the James Dickson Carr Scholarship. She has worked with choreographers Jessica Lang, Nick Bruder, Kate Weare, Jennifer Freeman, Kim Gibilisco, Keith Thompson, Paulette Sears, Randy James, Doug Elkins, and John Evans. As a member of the Movement Playground she has performed at the John F. Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.) and Jacob's Pillow. Melanie is certified in progressing ballet technique Level 3 (PBT), Relative Motion, T SPHERES, Alixa Flexibility& Flexistretcher.

MELANIE

Alysson is our studio receptionist and has been with Lambarri Dance Arts for 4 years. She's the face that welcomes you into the studio everyday and has the answers to all of your questions. Alysson is currently studying and training to become an event planner.
